Como separados por un gran muro los grupos enfrentados s\u00f3lo han sido receptivos a su propia realidad y sufrimiento, sin reparar en los de las &#8220;otras&#8221; personas y, en ocasiones, despreciando el dolor ajeno. En situaciones como \u00e9sta, m\u00e1s que nunca, resulta obligado trabajar para poder situar el derecho a la vida en un lugar prominente y defender el respeto a los derechos humanos como la pauta para la convivencia diaria. El modelo de desarrollo humano se basa en las personas, \u00e9stas ocupan el lugar central y deben ser libres para realizar sus elecciones y acordar las decisiones que afectar\u00e1n a sus vidas.
