\nResumen<\/strong>
\nLas elecciones auton\u00f3micas vascas de 2012, las primeras celebradas tras el abandono de la violencia por parte de ETA, supusieron un vuelco pol\u00edtico debido a la gran subida de la izquierda abertzale y la vuelta a la clara hegemon\u00eda que los partidos nacionalistas hab\u00edan gozado en los a\u00f1os 80. Adem\u00e1s, fueron testigos de una in\u00e9dita reducci\u00f3n del n\u00famero de fuerzas pol\u00edticas. En este art\u00edculo se analiza si dichos cambios son debidos a razones coyunturales o si nos encontramos ante un cambio estructural en el panorama pol\u00edtico vasco caracterizado, hasta entonces, por el equilibrio entre bloques y el pluralismo polarizado en su sistema de partidos.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nThe Basque regional elections (first ones until ETA decided to put down weapons) became an electoral flip due to the great increase of the Basque patriotic left which supposed a return to the 80\u2019s political scenario when Basque nationalist parties were hegemonic. Besides, these elections gave a reduction of political parties seated in the regional Parliament. This article analyzes if those changes are due to timely reasons or whereas we are facing a structural change in Basque party system, which was characterized by bloc equilibrium and polarized pluralism.
