\nDiversas categor\u00edas sustentan una pretensi\u00f3n: los procesos de transici\u00f3n pol\u00edtica de la violencia a la paz deben tener la m\u00e1xima calidad moral posible. Aqu\u00ed, teniendo como fondo las transiciones colombiana y espa\u00f1ola, se explora la pertinencia de una de ellas, la reconciliaci\u00f3n. Se comienza describiendo lo que en s\u00ed implica la reconciliaci\u00f3n c\u00edvica: afrontamiento de la ruptura social existente; asunci\u00f3n de una memoria de capacidad reconciliadora en sus expresi\u00f3n intersubjetiva entre v\u00edctimas y victimarios y en su alcance social general; realizaci\u00f3n de ella en procesos asim\u00e9tricos de perpetradores y v\u00edctimas; imbricaci\u00f3n con la justicia, para que se evite la impunidad, pero en su modalidad restaurativa, para que sea reconciliadora; apertura a una reconciliaci\u00f3n sentimental. En una segunda parte, se sit\u00faa el ideal en los duros contextos de violencia, para propugnar una reconciliaci\u00f3n transicional que propugne pautas diversas en torno a: la intenci\u00f3n de autenticidad en los agentes pol\u00edticos y sociales, los sujetos de la reconciliaci\u00f3n, las conexiones con la justicia transicional, la inserci\u00f3n en la vida democr\u00e1tica. Se concluye defendiendo la pertinencia de esta reconciliaci\u00f3n, pues aun cuando su alcance material sea peque\u00f1o, su alcance simb\u00f3lico puede ser relevante.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nIn order to confer the maximum possible moral quality to the processes of transition from violence to peace one can resort to different constructs. In this paper we explore the relevance of one such construct, reconciliation, against the backdrop of the Colombian and Spanish transitions. We first describe what civic reconciliation entails: Dealing with the existing social fracture; taking ownership of a memory which can be open to reconciliation, in its ability to reconcile the perspectives of victims and perpetrators and in its general social scope; its enactment through asymmetric processes of victims and perpetrators; an interlock with justice to avert impunity, but in a restorative sense to foster reconciliation; openness to a sentimental reconciliation. In the second section we propose the ideal of reconciliation within the harsh context of violence. We advocate for a transitional reconciliation for which we propose separate guidelines regarding: the intention of authenticity of the social and political actors, the subjects of reconciliation, the connections with transitional justice, and the insertion in democratic life. We conclude with a defence of the pertinence of this kind of reconciliation, because even when its material reach may be small, its symbolic reach can be relevant.
