\nResumen<\/strong>
\nEl n\u00famero de obras dedicadas al terrorismo vasco es ya muy amplio. En este art\u00edculo repasaremos un grupo de trabajos que aborda un problema concreto: la relaci\u00f3n entre esa forma de violencia pol\u00edtica y los procesos de nacionalizaci\u00f3n de masas. La mayor\u00eda de ellos son microan\u00e1lisis, que es donde a\u00fan cabe aportar m\u00e1s investigaci\u00f3n original, ya sea desde la historia o desde otras disciplinas. Nos detendremos en un caso concreto a\u00fan por analizar: la evoluci\u00f3n de aquellas localidades vascas y navarras donde el tradicionalismo, con su componente cat\u00f3lico militante y nacionalista espa\u00f1ol, obten\u00eda en la d\u00e9cada de 1930 unos excelentes resultados electorales. Tras el franquismo, en muchas de ellas se hab\u00eda pasado a votar ampliamente a una opci\u00f3n abertzale e izquierdista como HB, el brazo pol\u00edtico de ETA. [vc_empty_space height=”10″]
\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nMuch has already been written about Basque terrorism. Here, I review a group of studies that address a specific problem: the relationship between this form of political violence and processes of mass nationalisation. Much of the existing work has comprised micro-analyses, meaning there is still room for further original research, whether from a historical or other disciplinary standpoint. I shall focus on a specific case which has not previously been analysed: the evolution of constituencies in the Basque Country and Navarre where traditionalism, with its militant Catholic and Spanish nationalist component, obtained excellent electoral results in the 1930s. However, after Franco\u2019s dictatorship, many voters switched their allegiance to vote for nationalist leftist options such as HB, the political wing of ETA. [vc_empty_space height=”10″]
