\nDurante los a\u00f1os cincuenta y sesenta el Pa\u00eds Vasco fue receptor de una oleada de inmigrantes que, procedentes del resto de Espa\u00f1a, llegaba en busca de trabajo. Su presencia reaviv\u00f3 la xenofobia de un sector del nacionalismo vasco. Cuando ETA comenz\u00f3 a matar, se enfrent\u00f3 al dilema de qu\u00e9 hacer con ese colectivo: integrarlo en su utop\u00eda de una gran naci\u00f3n vasca homog\u00e9nea o expulsarlo. En este art\u00edculo se abordar\u00e1 esta cuesti\u00f3n poniendo el foco en dos inmigrantes procedentes de la misma comarca de Badajoz y residentes en Zarauz, que murieron en la etapa final de la dictadura franquista. Uno, Juan Paredes (Txiki), se uni\u00f3 a ETA y fue ejecutado tras un juicio sumar\u00edsimo. El nacionalismo radical lo elev\u00f3 a la categor\u00eda de m\u00e1rtir, instrumentaliz\u00e1ndolo para fomentar la asimilaci\u00f3n de otros inmigrantes. Otro, Manuel L\u00f3pez Trevi\u00f1o, era un guardia civil que fue asesinado por la banda en venganza del fusilamiento de Txiki. Como otras v\u00edctimas del terrorismo, fue se\u00f1alado como un villano y un ejemplo a evitar.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nDuring the fifties and sixties the Basque Country was the recipient of a wave of immigrants who, coming from the rest of Spain, arrived in search of work. Their presence revived the xenophobia of a sector of Basque nationalism. When ETA began to kill, it faced the dilemma of what to do with this collective: to integrate it into its utopia of a large homogenous Basque nation or to cast it out. This article will address this issue by focusing on two immigrants from the same region of Badajoz and residents of Zarauz, who died in the final stage of the Franco dictatorship. One, Juan Paredes (Txiki), joined ETA and was executed after a summary trial. Radical nationalism elevated him to the category of martyr, instrumentalizing him to encourage the assimilation of other immigrants. Another, Manuel L\u00f3pez Trevi\u00f1o, was a civil guard who was killed by the gang in revenge for Txiki\u2019s execution. Like other victims of terrorism, he was pointed out as a villain and an example to avoid.
