\nResumen<\/strong>
\nEn este art\u00edculo analizamos dos memoriales de v\u00edctimas del Holocausto: Kazerne Dossin, en Mechelen (B\u00e9lgica) y el Memorial de los jud\u00edos de Europa asesinados, en Berl\u00edn. El objetivo es extraer ense\u00f1anzas aplicables al Pa\u00eds Vasco, de cara a la puesta en marcha de centros dedicados al recuerdo de las v\u00edctimas del terrorismo. A partir de los dos ejemplos mencionados, argumentamos que es posible y necesario alcanzar acuerdos b\u00e1sicos en materia de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas de memoria. Sostenemos, asimismo, que el papel de los historiadores es fundamental para afrontar con rigor un tema sensible y susceptible de utilizaci\u00f3n partidista.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nThis article analyzes two memorials to Holocaust victims: Kazerne Dossin in Mechelen (Belgium) and the Memorial to the murdered Jews of Europe, in Berlin. The main goal is to extract the lessons which are applicable to the Basque Country, with regard to the foundation of institutions dedicated to the memory of the victims of terrorism. Based on the two examples we have just mentioned, we argue that it is possible and necessary to reach basic agreements on the public politics of memory. We hold as well that the role of the historians is very important in dealing with a subject which is susceptible to political instrumentalization.
