\nResumen<\/strong>
\nEn 1974 ETA se dividi\u00f3 en dos organizaciones rivales. ETAm pretendi\u00f3 inhibirse de la pol\u00edtica y centrarse en el terrorismo. ETApm opt\u00f3 por formar un nuevo partido pol\u00edtico, EIA. Las elecciones de 1977 fueron un reto para el nacionalismo vasco radical, que adopt\u00f3 estrategias divergentes. ANV, ESB, ESEI y EIA decidieron participar, este \u00faltimo en el seno de la candidatura Euskadiko Ezkerra<\/em>; ETAm, EHAS y LAIA apostaron por el boicot. EE obtuvo dos parlamentarios y apost\u00f3 por la v\u00eda institucional. La alta participaci\u00f3n oblig\u00f3 a ETAm a cambiar de planes. Se qued\u00f3 con la mayor parte de la herencia de ETA y, cuando HASI, LAIA, ANV y ESB formaron Herri Batasuna<\/em>, ETAm la tom\u00f3 bajo su control.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nIn 1974 the ETA split up in two rival organizations. ETAm tried to refrain from politics and concentrate on terrorism. ETApm chose to create a new political party, EIA. The elections that took place in 1977 were a major challenge for the Basque extreme nationalism, which assumed diverging strategies. ANV, ESB, ESEI and EIA decided to take part in it, the last one within the list of Euskadiko Ezkerra<\/em>; ETAm, EHAS and LAIA backered the boycott. EE obtained two parliamentarians and betted on the institutional way. The high participation in the polls forced ETAm to change its plans. It kept ETA\u2019s legacy most important share and, when HASI, LAIA, ANV and ESB created Herri Batasuna<\/em>, ETAm took control of it.
