\nAntes de su estreno, el filme La pelota vasca de Julio Medem se vio envuelto de antemano en una agria pol\u00e9mica. As\u00ed, el intento de Medem de acercarse a explicar el conflicto vasco a trav\u00e9s de un documental donde recoge una amplia gama de entrevistas gener\u00f3 una fuerte ola de cr\u00edticas a favor y en contra de su planteamiento. De tal modo, su idea de tender puentes deriv\u00f3 en una historia muy particular que reflej\u00f3 una vez m\u00e1s las distintas sensibilidades encontradas sobre el tema en el Pa\u00eds Vasco y Espa\u00f1a.

\nEstreinatu aurretik ere, Julio Medemen La pelota vasca filmak polemika latza jasan behar izan zuen. Medemek euskal gatazka azaldu nahi zuen, hainbat elkarrizketa eta iritzi biltzen dituen dokumentalaren bitartez. Ahalegin horrek, ordea, kritika ugari sorrarazi zituen, erabilitako planteamenduaren aldekoak eta aurkakoak. Hortaz, zinemagilearen asmoa zubiak ezartzea bazen ere, oso bestelako emaitza ekarri zuen, Euskal Herrian eta Espainian gai horri buruz indarrean dauden elkarren aurkako sentsibilitateak berriz ere agerian geratu baitziren.

\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nEven prior to its release, Julio Medem’s film La pelota vasca was surrounded by bitter controversy. His endeavour to explain the Basque conflict by means of a documentary based on interviews with a wide range of people generated a strong wave of criticism for and against the way he tackled the matter. The idea of building bridges emerged in the shape of a very particular story, once again reflecting the different sensitivities existing on the subject in the Basque Country and Spain.
