\nEste estudio analiza 470 noticias publicadas en los principales peri\u00f3dicos nacionales en Espa\u00f1a y regionales vascos en tres de los major anniversary del asesinato a manos de eta de Miguel \u00c1ngel Blanco. El an\u00e1lisis cuantitativo y cualitativo examina en qu\u00e9 medida y c\u00f3mo peri\u00f3dicos de diferente alcance geogr\u00e1fico y posicionamiento ideol\u00f3gico han recordado un crimen que marc\u00f3 un punto de inflexi\u00f3n en la respuesta de la sociedad espa\u00f1ola al terrorismo. Examinar los temas y marcos dominantes y detectar las ideas y valores reafirmados en torno al asesinato de Blanco en diferentes peri\u00f3dicos permite profundizar en el papel de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, espec\u00edficamente el del periodismo de aniversario, como constructores de memoria colectiva en torno al terrorismo y sus v\u00edctimas. \nAbstract<\/strong>
\nThis study analyzes 470 news stories published in major Spanish and regional Basque newspapers on three significant anniversaries of the assassination of Miguel \u00c1ngel Blanco by the terrorist group eta. The quantitative and qualitative content analysis examines to what extent and in what ways newspapers with varying geographical reach and ideological perspectives have remembered this crime, which marked a turning point in Spain’s response to terrorism. By examining the dominant themes and frames and identifying the ideas and values reaffirmed in connection with Blanco\u2019s murder across different newspapers, this study explores the role of the media \u2015 specifically, anniversary journalism\u2015 in shaping collective memory surrounding terrorism and its victims.
