\nEl prop\u00f3sito de este art\u00edculo es ocuparse de c\u00f3mo las ficciones participan en la reconstrucci\u00f3n de la memoria colectiva de un pasado traum\u00e1tico, en particular, el de la violencia de ETA. Prestaremos atenci\u00f3n a c\u00f3mo adquieren relevancia trabajos de ficci\u00f3n que tratan de contar ese pasado reciente, despertando reacciones encontradas acerca de su sentido y valor para relatar con verosimilitud lo ocurrido. El esfuerzo narrativo parece toparse con dificultades para construir una memoria colectiva que concite acuerdos sobre su acierto e idoneidad. Igual que viene ocurriendo con la revisi\u00f3n institucional del pasado, objeto de tensiones que se han verbalizado como \u201cbatalla por el relato\u201d. Se trata de proponer una reflexi\u00f3n que ahonde en el potencial de la narraci\u00f3n para cargar de sentido la mirada hacia el pasado, identificando las tensiones y las claves que redundan en la re-mitificaci\u00f3n de la violencia y que se expresan como sospecha contra la crudeza y autenticidad de determinados relatos. Para ello, acudiremos a los v\u00ednculos entre memoria, historia y ficci\u00f3n y al cuestionamiento del presupuesto de que puede y debe construirse una narraci\u00f3n exenta de posicionamientos morales y juicios de valor. Algo especialmente decisivo cuando el contexto al que se remite es el de aquella violencia legitimada por una parte de la sociedad. Finalmente, recalaremos en el poder de la ficci\u00f3n para definir el mundo, destacando su capacidad para intervenir y a\u00f1adir sentido en nuestra comprensi\u00f3n de la realidad. \nAbstract<\/strong>
\nThe purpose of this paper is to address the role that fictions play in the reconstruction of the collective memory of a traumatic past, in particular, that of ETA violence. We will pay attention to both the process through which works of fiction that try to portray that recent past become relevant and to the kind of mixed reactions about their meaning and value to tell what happened faithfully. The narrative effort seems to face difficulties to build a collective memory that reaches agreement on its accuracy and appropriateness. The same is true of the institutional review of the past, which is the object of tensions that have been conceptualized as the “battle for the story”. The idea is to propose a reflection that delves into the potential of narratives to make sense of the past, identifying the tensions and keys that result in the re-mythologizing of violence and that are expressed as suspicion against the crudeness and authenticity of certain stories. In order to do so, we will look at the link between memory, history, and fiction and will question the assumption that a narrative can and should be elaborated free of moral positions and value judgments. This is especially decisive when the context to which it refers is that of violence legitimized by a part of society. Finally, we will emphasize the power of fiction to define the world, highlighting its capacity to intervene and add meaning to our understanding of reality. [vc_empty_space height=”10″]
