\nResumen<\/strong>
\nEste art\u00edculo se ocupa de la reconstrucci\u00f3n de la memoria colectiva acerca de la violencia de ETA. Se presta atenci\u00f3n a las pol\u00e9micas ligadas a la gesti\u00f3n p\u00fablica de dicha memoria tratando de identificar sus principales desaf\u00edos y atendiendo a las tensiones sociales y pol\u00edticas que emergen al vincularse con el prop\u00f3sito de reparar a las v\u00edctimas. Para ello, se atender\u00e1 primero al olvido como forma de injusticia hacia las v\u00edctimas. Despu\u00e9s, se reflexionar\u00e1 sobre la \u2018batalla por el relato\u2019, expresi\u00f3n con la que se vienen identificando las pol\u00e9micas derivadas de las pol\u00edticas de memoria institucionales y que nos permite recalar en las conexiones entre memoria e historia y en la centralidad de las interpretaciones y del sentido. Por \u00faltimo, se apuntar\u00e1 hacia los l\u00edmites y las potencialidades de la memoria para comprender el presente sin eludir la cuesti\u00f3n central de la responsabilidad sobre las acciones como requisito para aspirar a alguna forma de justicia. \nAbstract<\/strong>
\nThis paper deals with the process of collective memory reconstruction linked to the ETA\u2019s violence. It pays attention to the controversies connected to the public management of such memory, trying to identify its main challenges and looking at the political and social tension that emerge when reconciled with the purpose of victim reparation. To this end, it will first address oblivion as a form of injustice towards victims. Then, it will reflect on the \u2018battle for the story\u2019, an expression that is being used when identifying the controversies caused by institutional memory policies and that, in addition, will allow us to concern the connections between memory and history, as well as the centrality of interpretations and sense. Finally, it will point at the limits and potentialities of memory when it comes to understanding the present, without avoiding the central issue of responsibility over actions as a prerequisite for aspiring to some form of justice.
