\nEl 20 de diciembre de 1973 un atentado de ETA acab\u00f3 con las vidas del presidente del Gobierno franquista, su ch\u00f3fer y su escolta. Tuvo importantes consecuencias tanto para la dictadura como para la banda terrorista. Bas\u00e1ndose en las fuentes disponibles, los historiadores han elaborado un relato bastante veros\u00edmil de los acontecimientos. Sin embargo, el hecho de que ETA hubiese logrado asesinar a una figura tan prominente, algunos cabos sueltos en la investigaci\u00f3n policial y la ausencia de una sentencia dieron pie a todo tipo de especulaciones. Adem\u00e1s, el caso de Carrero Blanco ha inspirado narraciones de calidad desigual. En este trabajo examinamos la interrelaci\u00f3n entre historia, teor\u00edas de la conspiraci\u00f3n y ficci\u00f3n alrededor del atentado. [vc_empty_space height=”10″]
\nAbstract<\/strong>
\nOn 20 December 1973, an attack by ETA put an end to the lives of Franco’s head of government, his chauffeur and his bodyguard. This had important consequences for both the dictatorship and the terrorist group. Based on the existing sources, historians have developed a fairly credible account of the events. Nevertheless, the fact that ETA had managed to assassinate such a prominent politician, combined with some loose ends in the police investigation and the absence of a sentence gave rise to all kinds of speculation. Furthermore, the case of Carrero Blanco has inspired narratives of uneven quality. In this paper we examine the interrelationship between history, conspiracy theories and fiction surrounding the attack. [vc_empty_space height=”10″]
